Why You’ll Love It

If you’ve reached the stage where you enjoy mentoring other clinicians just as much as treating patients, this could be a really interesting next move.

This isn’t a management role that pulls you away from clinical practice. Nor is it simply another Senior Physiotherapist position with a bit of admin added on.

You’ll continue managing your own MSK caseload while taking genuine responsibility for leading the clinic, supporting your team, maintaining clinical standards and helping the service continue to develop.

And you don’t necessarily need to have been a Clinic Manager before.

If you’re already the Senior Physio people come to for advice, enjoy mentoring others and find yourself increasingly interested in what makes a clinical team work well, this could give you the opportunity to turn that experience into your first formal leadership position.

You’ll have experienced senior leaders around you too, so you’re taking on greater responsibility without being expected to figure everything out alone.

All About You

We’re looking for an experienced Physiotherapist who’s ready to take the next step into clinic leadership.

You’ll ideally have:

  • HCPC Registration

  • CSP Membership

  • Typically around five years’ post-graduate experience, or equivalent senior clinical capability gained within private practice, elite sport or specialist musculoskeletal services

  • Strong MSK assessment and rehabilitation skills

  • Previous experience supporting, mentoring or leading other clinicians

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Strong organisational and time management abilities

  • Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in helping a clinic succeed

  • A passion for delivering excellent patient care while developing others

You may already be managing a clinic, or you could be an experienced Senior Physiotherapist looking for your first formal leadership opportunity.

What’s important is that you’ve developed strong clinical foundations, already demonstrate leadership qualities and genuinely want to take greater responsibility for both people and performance.

What Will You Be Doing?

This is a varied role combining senior MSK Physiotherapy with day-to-day clinic leadership.

You’ll:

  • Manage your own private MSK caseload

  • Deliver advanced assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation

  • Support and mentor Physiotherapists within the clinic

  • Lead by example and maintain high clinical standards

  • Help oversee day-to-day clinic operations and performance

  • Work closely with Consultants, Sports Doctors, APPs and Rehabilitation Specialists

  • Support service development and continuous quality improvement

  • Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture

You’ll be balancing hands-on patient care with the wider responsibilities involved in helping a busy private clinic and its clinical team perform well.

Working Hours and Environment

This is a full-time employed position based within our client’s Moorgate clinic.

You’ll typically work a 40-hour week across five days, including at least one evening clinic.

The clinic operates Monday to Saturday and offers modern treatment rooms, fully equipped rehabilitation facilities, diagnostic technology and strong administrative support.

You’ll work alongside Physiotherapists and a wider multidisciplinary team including Consultants, Sports Doctors, APPs and Rehabilitation Specialists, while taking day-to-day leadership responsibility within your own clinic.

Reaching Your Potential

One of the most important things about this opportunity is that leadership isn’t simply expected. It’s developed.

Alongside your clinical work, you’ll receive ongoing mentoring and structured leadership support to help you develop the people, operational and commercial skills that come with running a successful clinic.

You’ll also continue your clinical development through protected in-house education, your annual CPD allowance and regular interaction with experienced clinicians across the wider multidisciplinary team.

As the organisation continues to expand, there may be opportunities to progress beyond individual clinic management into more senior operational, regional or strategic leadership roles, while remaining connected to clinical practice.

For an experienced MSK Physiotherapist who wants their next career step to involve developing people and influencing how a clinic performs, rather than simply adding more patients to their diary, this offers a clear route forwards.
