Senior Planning Officer — Lead Major Developments (Hybrid)

Durham County Council seeks a Senior Planning Officer to manage complex planning applications from pre-application advice through to determination and appeals. You will handle major developments across housing, commercial, infrastructure, renewable energy, and minerals and waste projects.

You will lead significant projects and support the development of junior officers, shaping Durham’s growth while operating with flexible working options, including hybrid arrangements in our Durham city office.
