About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly formed Operations team as we establish ourselves within the Performance Function and wider England Directorate . As part of the England Operations Team, you’ll play a key role in su pportin g the P er forman ce F un ction to shap e how the directorate plans, measures performance, manages risk and uses its resources.

You’ll work across teams and with specialist functions to keep governance and planning processes strong, information reliable, and decision-making well supported. It’s a great chance to gain a wide view of how a major directorate operates , build strong relationships across The Fund , and contribute directly to keeping the organisation effective, resilient and future focu s sed .

The Planning, Performance and Reporting Officerisa varied role and the successful candidate will need to be comfortable in handling competing demandsacrossa diverse rangeofareas.For example,typical responsibilitiesmayinclude:

  • Maintain ing and improv ing systems and information flows, producing accurate reports and data that help teams monitor progress, manage resources and identify emerging issues.
  • Coordinat ing, planning and reporting activities across the directorate, supporting the development, tracking and updating of business plans, performance metrics and delivery milestones.
  • Support effective governance and risk management, ensuring key processes, logs and assurance activities are maintained and leaders have timely , reliable information for decision-making.
  • P rovid ing adm inis tr ative s uppor t to ensu re infor mation is up to da te , accu ra te an d the Per formanc e Function runs smoothly .
  • Supporting and working with colleagues across the Performance Function to ensure all our work adds value to each other’s.

We have a hybrid approach to working. Work pattern and location will be agreed with the successful candidate. The role can be based at any of our En gland offices: Birmingham, Exeter, Leeds, London, Manchester an d Newcastle.

  • Strong digital skills and proficiency in using a variety of systems such as Teams, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • The ability to use tools to record, analy s e and interpret data to provide reports to support performance and planning.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and workflows effectively.
  • Effective communication and relationship building skills with the ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to tailor communications to different audiences / stakeholders.
  • Experience providing operational, planning, or administrative support within a complex organisation .
  • Passionate about the Fund’s purpose andvalues-driven to support a culture of excellence in grantmaking.
  • An understanding of budgets and financial practices, including the ability to monitor expenditure and interpret financial information.
