Job Description:

The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As a General Assistant you will be the first point of contact for our guests when they arrive and the last person they see when they leave. Therefore, your role is important to make our guests feel welcome and valued, and to provide them with the assistance they may need in between.. Your day-to-day

  • Greeting all arriving guests with a warm and friendly welcome
  • Assisting guests with luggage if required
  • Answering any guest queries and providing local knowledge and assistance if required
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of all public areas
  • Assisting front desk staff with guest requests, such as luggage storage or providing guest supplies.
  • Monitoring the Monscierge information system and ensuring the information is accurate and up to date.
  • Monitoring stocks of city maps and information leaflets.
  • Answering incoming telephone enquiries at peak times.
  • Monitoring queues for IHG Rewards Elite Members and directing them to dedicated check in/out desk at peak times.
  • Delivering a meaningful farewell to all guests and assisting with onward transport.
  • Assisting the Duty Manager with other hotel operations when requested
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Must speak fluent English
