The Role:
An excellent fixed term opportunity to provide high-quality administrative support that enables the effective operation of Western District 1 Office. Working closely with the District Business Manager and District Administration team, you will contributes to the successful coordination of community events, projects and operational activities that support Fire Rescue Victoria’s commitment to community safety.
Functional Accountabilities:
Provide high-quality administrative support to the District Business Manager and District office.
Deliver professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records, databases, reporting and information systems.
Prepare correspondence, reports, meeting papers, agendas and minutes.
Support process improvements to enhance administrative service delivery.
Coordinate community events, marketing activities and district projects.
Manage reception services, enquiries and day-to-day office operations.
Support district procurement and office resource management.
The Team:
The North West Operations Directorate is responsible for delivering modern fire and rescue services across Melbourne’s North West region and Victoria. The team provides a timely, location-matched response capability to the community through a balanced mix of specialist and generalist skills and appliances, supporting FRV’s commitment to protecting Victorian communities.

What you will need to Succeed:
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Knowledge gained through secondary and vocational training.
Certificate IV in Business Administration or relevant work experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Sound interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, managers and external stakeholders.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills to obtain the cooperation of others and resolve administrative or operational issues.
Sound numeracy and analytical skills, with the ability to understand, interpret and synthesise basic data and information.
Experience in organising work priorities to meet deadlines, with the capacity to identify areas for improvement within the work area.
