SAH Band 4 £30,658 to £33,341 pro rata per annum
30 – 35 hours per week; Monday to Friday with some flexibility required to meet service needs
Who are we?
St Andrew’s Hospice is a registered charity providing specialist palliative care for patients with life-limiting conditions which require complex symptom management, and/or end-of-life care. It is Lanarkshire’s specialist hospice and provides multidisciplinary support for patients, their families and carers. The service is provided completely free of chargefor the adult population of North and South Lanarkshire and is open to all without distinction of race, gender or creed.

What is the role?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Executive Assistant to join our award-winning team at St Andrew’s Hospice. Use your skills and experience to contribute to an organisation that truly makes a difference to patients and families across Lanarkshire.
The successful candidate will provide professional, executive level support to the CEO, Deputy CEO and Board of Trustees. The key duties and responsibilities include:
- Provide direct administrative support to the Deputy CEO/Head of Clinical Services
- Execute highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion, sensitivity, and political awareness
- Provide diary management for the CEO and Deputy CEO ensuring deadlines are achieved
- Undertake and manage specific projects as directed by the CEO
- Responsible for drafting high quality and accurate reports and correspondence
- The production of formal minutes, which accurately record decisions and actions
- Provision of a comprehensive, executive and professional service to the Board of Trustees
What we expect of you?
The successful candidate will hold an HNC/HND/SVQIII in Business Administration or other relevant subject in addition to the following:
- Relevant experience at senior administrative, Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant role
- Competent to use the full range of Microsoft Office
- Evidence of good organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent communicator who has had significant experience working with senior management/ leadership teams
- Demonstrated ability to collate and analyse data
- Flexible approach to meet the requirements of the post in an environment with changeable and/or conflicting priorities
