Join us as Marketing & Communications Officer at a defining moment for Tynedale Hospice at home. We’re at the start of a new 10-year strategy, with brand development at its heart, and you’ll play a hands-on role in bringing that story to life – producing the content, running the channels and supporting the campaigns that raise our profile and drive vital supporter engagement, day in, day out.
This is a varied, hands-on role, perfect for someone who loves turning ideas into content and details into consistency. Working closely with our Marketing & Communications Manager, you’ll help translate our new brand and strategy into everything we do – from social posts and newsletters to website updates and event materials – and see the direct results of your work in the people and services we’re able to support.
This role is perfect for you if:
- You love creating clear, compelling content that motivates people to act.
- You enjoy the variety of managing multiple channels – social, email, website – day to day.
- You’re happy balancing creative production with keeping an eye on performance data.
- You like being part of a small, collaborative team where your work is seen and valued.
- You want your day-to-day work to add up to something bigger – helping bring a new 10-year brand and strategy to life.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting delivery of our marketing & communications plans and fundraising campaigns across digital, print and community channels.
- Producing engaging content: social posts, email copy, website updates, case studies, newsletters, basic graphics and short videos.
- Managing day-to-day social media channels – scheduling posts, monitoring engagement and responding to enquiries.
- Editing website content, keeping it accurate and SEO-friendly.
- Supporting email marketing, from list segmentation and campaign set-up to A/B testing and reporting.
- Helping maintain our brand guidelines, tone of voice and templates as we roll out our new brand.
- Helping plan and deliver events, community outreach and supporter-facing materials.
What we’re looking for:
- 1-3 years’ experience in marketing, communications or digital content roles.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, supporter-focused copy.
- Practical experience with social media, email platforms and website CMS.
- Basic graphic or video editing skills (Canva or similar).
- Comfortable using analytics tools and data to improve content performance.
- Well organised, with great attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Be part of a defining chapter for the Hospice, as we roll out a new brand and 10-year strategy.
- Hands-on variety – no two days the same, with real ownership of the channels you run.
- Close support and mentoring from our Marketing & Communications Manager, plus room to grow your skills.
- Flexible, collaborative working in a small, friendly team.
- Meaningful, direct impact on patients and families across our community.
