Job Description:

  • Welcome customers, introduce products and encourage sales through friendly recommendations.
  • Help customers select colour combinations, gift sets and suitable products.
  • Process payments accurately, pack purchases carefully and record sales.
  • Keep the stall attractive, tidy and well stocked.
  • Set up, operate and pack down the stall independently after training.
  • Complete stock checks and report sales, stock requirements and any issues.
  • Transport an allocated wheeled suitcase, approximately 28 inches, containing stock and display equipment to and from assigned markets.
  • Where agreed in advance, securely store the suitcase and stock between shifts., Working arrangements
  • Various market locations, including some outdoor settings.
  • Some shifts will be worked independently, while others will be alongside a member of the founding team.
  • Longer market days may be split into separate shifts.
  • Shifts will be scheduled in advance around market dates and agreed availability.
  • Hours vary, with no guaranteed minimum number of hours or shifts; some weeks may have few or no shifts.
  • Product training and practical guidance will be provided.
  • Suitcase weight, transport, collection, return and storage requirements will be discussed before arrangements are accepted.
  • Travel expenses are not reimbursed. We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable sales assistants for a temporary, part-time seasonal role from late October to December 2026. You will represent an independent homeware brand at markets across London, helping customers discover colourful, handcrafted tableware and home accessories.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for sales and confidence approaching customers.
  • Fluent spoken English and clear communication skills.
  • Reliability, punctuality and strong attention to detail.
  • Careful handling of products, payments and stock.
  • Ability to work independently and follow operating guidelines.
  • Previous retail, market or customer-facing experience is preferred.
  • Interest in design, homeware and independent brands.
  • Ability to transport and handle the allocated suitcase, with support or adjustments discussed in advance.
  • Availability for agreed shifts during the Christmas season.
