We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded nursing home in Newry for an experienced and dedicated Nursing Home Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nursing or healthcare professional to take a senior leadership role within a supportive care environment. You will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring residents receive exceptional, person-centred care while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, confident leadership, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of residents. You will lead by example, develop and motivate your team, and play a key role in driving continuous improvement across the service.

The Role
As Nursing Home Manager, you will be responsible for the effective leadership and overall operation of the nursing home. Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading the day-to-day management and operation of the home.
Ensuring consistently high standards of safe, compassionate, and person-centred care.
Maintaining full compliance with RQIA requirements, legislation, and relevant regulatory standards.
Providing effective leadership, supervision, and support to nursing, care, and support teams.
Managing recruitment, staffing levels, performance, and workforce development.
Overseeing budgets, resources, and operational performance.
Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture.
Building strong and professional relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
Leading quality assurance, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensuring the home maintains a strong focus on safeguarding, dignity, independence, and resident wellbeing.
Acting as a visible, approachable, and inspiring leader within the home.
About You
We are looking for a confident and compassionate healthcare professional who can demonstrate:
Current NMC registration as an RGN, RMN, or RNLD.
A valid NMC PIN.
Previous experience in a nursing home management or senior nursing leadership role.
Strong knowledge of elderly care and relevant regulatory requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, organisational, and people-management skills.
Experience managing and developing multidisciplinary teams.
A strong understanding of quality assurance, safeguarding, and compliance.
A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding resident-centred care.
The ability to motivate, support, and develop staff at all levels.
Strong decision-making skills and the ability to manage effectively in a busy care environment.
