Financial Controller – South Belfast – Hybrid Role
Job Summary
I am seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Controller to oversee the daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. In this role, you will lead the accounting team across multiple sites, ensure full compliance with regulatory standards, and maintain the integrity of the financial data. You will play a pivotal role in group reporting of our financial numbers both from a management and external statutory reporting perspective.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Internal Controls & Compliance
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the accounting department, overseeing functions including Accounts Payable (AP), Treasury and Banking, Financial Accounting, Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Treasury & Cash Management: Monitor and manage daily cash flow, optimise working capital, and oversee corporate bank accounts.
- Audit & Tax Coordination
- Budgeting & Costing
- Own the Capex reporting process
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certification: CPA, CMA, or ACCA.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Sage, Business Central) and expert-level Microsoft Excel
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
