Overview
In this role you lead a regional team of Field Service Engineers to deliver high-quality service, drive safety, and boost profitability. You’ll partner with the Field Service Operations Manager and service delivery teams to enhance customer satisfaction, optimize deployment, and improve operational efficiency. You’ll shape the team’s development, implement continuous improvement, and balance costs with service performance. This role offers impact across customers, people leadership, and growth initiatives at Schneider Electric.

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Field Service Engineers to create a high-performing, engaged group
- Support the Field Service Operations Manager in strengthening customer relationships
- Monitor customer satisfaction and identify quality improvements and team performance opportunities
- Oversee KPI-driven performance, productivity, and efficiency improvements
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure optimal engineer deployment and meeting customer commitments
- Maintain visibility of team skills, identify training and development needs, and support succession planning
- Drive adoption of field service processes, systems, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage team variable costs and contribute to profitable service operations
- Ensure health and safety remains the top priority, lead HSE compliance, audits, and safety briefings
- Coordinate out-of-hours engineering coverage and provide escalation support for operational and technical issues
- Monitor and address variances between planned and actual engineering hours
- Encourage identification of additional customer needs and service opportunities (lead generation)
- Coordinate with approved subcontractors to fill skill gaps or capacity needs
Key requirements
- Experience leading and developing teams in field service, engineering service, or technical environments
- Engineering or Electrical qualification, or equivalent industry experience
- Strong people-management, coaching, and development skills
- Experience managing operational performance and KPIs
- Customer-focused with track record building productive relationships
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Confident communication and stakeholder influencing skills across levels
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy operation
- Strong written and verbal English
