Role/Teamoverview

TheAdvanced Analytics team sits at the heart of Consumer Strategy,helping shape some of Sky’s biggest commercial decisions throughadvanced analytics, AI and customer insight. Working across TV,NOW, Connectivity, VIP and future growth opportunities, we partnerwith senior leaders to identify opportunities, solve complexbusiness problems and influence strategic direction. As AnalyticsLead, you’ll set the direction for a team of analysts, ensuringexceptional analytical quality while building strong stakeholderpartnerships and developing future analyticalcapability.

Whatyou’ll do:

As anAnalytics Lead in the Advanced Analytics team within ConsumerStrategy, you’ll drive commercial impact by leading a team ofanalysts, shaping the analytics roadmap and partnering with seniorstakeholders to turn data into strategic businessdecisions.

  • Own and lead the Advanced Analytics roadmap foryour business area, prioritising resources to maximise commercialvalue and support strategic businesspriorities.

  • Lead a highperforming analytics team, setting the standard for analyticalexcellence while fostering a culture of innovation, collaborationand continuous development.

  • Set the technical direction for the team andoversee a portfolio of complex, high impact analytical initiativesto build a best-in-class analytics capability and delivermeasurable business.

  • Buildtrusted relationships with senior stakeholders, shaping businessstrategy through clear, commercially focused analytical insightsand recommendations.

  • Collaborate across Consumer Strategy and thewider analytics community to strengthen analytical capability,drive best practice and unlock greater value throughdata.

  • Demonstrated success influencing commercial andstrategic decisions through advanced analytics in a complex, fastpaced organisation.

  • Strongcommercial acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities,anticipate business challenges and translate analytical insightinto clear business implications and strategicactions.

  • Ability to buildcredibility with senior stakeholders, communicating complexanalytical concepts clearly and influencing decisions at Directorlevel and above.

  • Intellectual curiosity and strategic thinking,with the ability to connect disparate insights, uncover theunderlying drivers of business performance and solve complexbusiness problems.

  • Expertise in advanced analytics, with deepknowledge of statistical, predictive and AI enabled techniques andwhen to apply them to solve businessproblems.

Essentialcriteria:

  • Demonstrable experience leading analytics teamsin a commercial environment

  • Advanced SQL skills with experience in analysinglarge scale customer and behavioural data

  • Experience applying advanced analyticaltechniques to solve businessproblems

Desirableskills and experience:

  • Experience with Python, R or similar programminglanguages

  • Experience insubscription, media, telecommunications or other consumerbusinesses
