Overview

As M&A Business Development Manager, you help steer inorganic growth by identifying opportunities, building investment cases and advancing priority transactions with senior stakeholders. You’ll blend market insight, financial analysis and cross‑functional coordination to support corporate development objectives. You will evaluate opportunities, prepare business cases and support from screening through execution. The role sits at the intersection of strategy, finance and operations, offering meaningful impact on growth and partnerships across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate inorganic growth opportunities across adjacent markets, new lines of business and strategic partnerships
  • Conduct market research, segmentation and competitive analysis to support growth theses and prioritization
  • Develop business cases, investment theses and executive presentations for senior leadership
  • Support M&A activity from early-stage screening through due diligence, negotiation and execution support
  • Partner with finance, legal, strategy, operations and business unit teams to assess strategic fit, value creation and integration considerations
  • Prepare financial models, valuation analyses and data-driven growth projections for decision-making
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, entrepreneurs, investors and external advisors
  • Monitor market trends, emerging technologies and competitor activity to inform the growth pipeline

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering or a related field
  • Experience in corporate development, M&A, strategic business development, investment banking, private equity or a similar role
  • Strong financial analysis, valuation and modeling skills
  • Experience preparing business cases, market assessments and executive-level presentations
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and synthesize market trends, competitive landscapes and growth opportunities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams across functions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
