Electronic trading Business Analyst / BA

Overview

As an Electronic Trading Business Analyst, you will help shape front office trading solutions for leading clients across fixed income, equities and FX. You will gather and validate requirements, facilitate workshops, and liaise with exchanges to refine market models and messaging. You’ll define and prioritise solutions, design messaging protocols, and ensure alignment with development and QA. This role sits at the intersection of technology, markets and client delivery, enabling faster, lower-latency trading environments. You’ll join a close-knit, values-driven team with a strong emphasis on impact and client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead key stakeholders and facilitate requirements gathering
• Engage with Exchanges/Trading Venues to collect market model details
• Define, prioritise and scope solutions
• Design and propose messaging protocol formats
• Validate requirements through development and QA interactions

Key requirements

• 2–5 years’ experience in buy-side/sell-side/vendor/ECN within trading environments
• Strong background in software development projects and front office trading applications
• Experience across the trading lifecycle: risk management, price formation, execution, STP
• familiarity with OTC markets and market models
• Strong stakeholder management and analytical skills
• Solid academic background
• Experience with Spot/Forward/NDFs/Swaps/Options and/or cash bonds/derivatives/rates
