English & Maths Tutor – Wrexham

Hours: 5-15 hours per week

We are recruiting a versatile English & Maths Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to a learner in Wrexham.
The ideal candidate will be confident supporting core subjects and able to create structured, engaging sessions that are responsive to the learner’s individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 English and Maths tuition
- Plan lessons around individual learning objectives
- Identify and address gaps in knowledge
- Differentiate activities and resources
- Encourage learner participation and confidence
- Develop independent learning skills
- Monitor progress and provide feedback
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of English and Maths
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience
- Experience working with children or young people
- Ability to adapt teaching to different abilities
- Patient and supportive approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to Work in the UK
- Two professional child-related references
