Senior Early Years Educator / Nursery Room Leader

Location: Chipping Norton

Salary: Up to £14.50 dependent on qualifications and experience

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Nala Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming and supportive nursery who are looking for a Senior Early Years Educator / Nursery Room Leader to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional who is ready to take the next step in their career, combining high-quality childcare with responsibility for supporting and leading a nursery room team.

The Role

As a Senior Early Years Educator / Nursery Room Leader, you will play a key role in supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing, whilst also providing guidance and supervision to your team.

  • Providing high-quality care and education to children through engaging, play-based learning
  • Supervising and supporting the team within your room
  • Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child’s individual needs are supported
  • Identifying opportunities to improve learning and teaching techniques
  • Developing engaging experiences and environments that encourage children’s curiosity and development
  • Ensuring children’s individual learning and development needs are recognised and supported
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and documentation
  • Supporting and conducting team meetings and appraisals where appropriate
  • Working closely with other Room Leaders and the wider management team
  • Building strong relationships with children, parents, colleagues and other professionals
  • Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety and EYFS requirements are followed at all times

We’d love to talk to you if you have the following

  • A Level 3 or above qualification within Early Years
  • Proven experience working as an Early Years Educator, Nursery Nurse or Nursery Practitioner
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Experience of supporting or leading a team would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills with both children and adults
  • A caring, positive and inclusive approach
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider nursery team
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care, learning and development opportunities for children
