Supply Chain Manager

Overview

As Supply Chain Manager, you will design and manage a robust supplier network to support energy infrastructure projects. You ensure supplier capacity, capability, and coverage align with current and future project needs. You will build strategic supplier partnerships, drive cost competitiveness, and manage onboarding, performance, and risk. You will work across fast-paced growth to enable efficient delivery and increased self-delivery capability. This role offers meaningful impact by shaping the energy infrastructure supply chain strategy and execution.

Responsibilities

• Assess and map current supplier networks to identify capabilities in the energy sector
• Develop understanding of the UK energy infrastructure supply chain
• Identify gaps and source new suppliers for capability, capacity, geography, and technology
• Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified subcontractors
• Manage supplier onboarding with compliance to safety, quality, and technical standards
• Develop strategic supplier partnerships and strengthen relationships
• Negotiate commercial terms and secure competitive pricing
• Support bid and tender submissions with supply chain intelligence and delivery strategies
• Implement supplier performance management across safety, quality, delivery, and commercial metrics
• Monitor market conditions, supplier availability, labor constraints, pricing trends, and risks
• Support transition toward increased self-delivery through strategic planning

Key requirements

• Strong knowledge of the UK construction, utilities, infrastructure or energy supply chain
• Experience sourcing, onboarding, negotiating with and managing subcontractors
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to secure competitive pricing
• Experience building strategic supplier relationships and managing performance
• Understanding of supplier assurance, compliance, capability assessment and governance
• Experience operating in a fast-paced growth environment
