HSE Manager

Overview

In this role you will champion a positive health, safety and environmental culture across the site, collaborating with operational leaders to support safe, compliant operations. You will analyse data to identify trends, conduct audits and ensure actions are completed, and deliver HSE training and campaigns to engage colleagues. The role involves managing risk assessments, safe systems of work and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement. This is a chance to shape safety standards within a global logistics operation and influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert HSE support to operational teams across the site
• Analyse accident, incident and claims data to identify trends and drive improvements
• Conduct HSE audits, inspections and compliance reviews with effective follow-up actions
• Support managers with risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Deliver HSE training, awareness campaigns and safety initiatives
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external authorities to ensure legal and organisational compliance

Key requirements

• Proven experience in a Health & Safety role, preferably in warehousing, logistics or operational environments
• Experience supporting major change programmes, customer onboarding projects or site start-ups with external partners
• NEBOSH National General Certificate (and working towards/holding NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent)
• Strong ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Proven capability to analyse data and translate insights into practical improvements
• Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
