Overview

In this role you ensure high-standard electrical maintenance for critical facilities, targeting 100% uptime. You work within the Workplace Management team to keep electrical systems reliable, compliant, and safe, collaborating with stakeholders across events and client teams. You’ll handle both planned and reactive electrical tasks, lead a small team of technicians, and contribute to safety-led culture and ongoing improvements. This opportunity lets you apply electrical expertise to support landmark projects and complex facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain HV/LV distribution, standby generators, UPS, lighting, and control systems
  • Maintain electrical building systems including distribution boards, switchgear, emergency lighting, and power infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance tasks on time (PAT, emergency lighting, fixed wire tests)
  • Monitor power quality and energy usage, report abnormalities and savings opportunities
  • Identify critical spares and audit site stock; update CAFM asset data
  • Provide emergency electrical relief and manage end-to-end PPM and reactive tasks
  • Supervise electrical sub-contractors; drive solutions with client
  • Maintain high housekeeping in electrical areas and related spaces
  • Coordinate with event planning and FM teams to be the trusted electrical partner
  • Attend meetings with accounts and clients; support electrical projects and reported issues
  • Provide technical reports, improvements, and risk register input
  • Handle incident reporting and after-action reviews; manage WIP and debits
  • Promote safety culture per JLL Cardinal Rules and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Communicate electrical updates; participate in escalation processes and on-call responses
  • Familiarize with REM contract admin and JLL processes

Key requirements

  • Approved electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience
  • Formal qualification in electrical engineering
  • Experience as end user of Electrical Building Management Systems
  • LV/HV Authorised Person (essential)
  • 18th Edition IEE: Wiring & Installation (Essential)
  • C&G 2360 Parts 1 and 2 or equivalent (Essential)
  • C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing (Desirable)
  • NVQ Level 3 electrical qualification or equivalent
  • Strong communication and numeracy skills
