Cloud engineers are responsible for evaluating the existing infrastructure of a business, and researching solutions for moving different functions and components (like database, servers, network and storage) to a cloud-based system.
Main Duties
- identify and implement cloud-based solutions for the company
- Plan and design cloud-based applications
- manage cloud environments according to company security guidelines
- Configure cloud resources, e.g., compute and storage
- Migrate existing on-prem services to cloud platforms
- Automate cloud-based services and apps
- Design and configure redundancy
