Biomolecular NMR Spectroscopist

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a Biomolecular NMR Spectroscopist to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in the Cambridge, UK area. As the Biomolecular NMR Spectroscopist, you will be responsible for providing NMR support for a proprietary fragment-based drug discovery (FBDD) platform, focusing on oncology and CNS targets.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop ligand- and protein-observed NMR assays.
• Perform NMR-based fragment screening and validate and characterise hits.
• Use NMR to generate high-quality data on protein-ligand interactions, including affinity, kinetics, and mechanism of action.
• Express and purify isotopically labelled protein samples.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant degree in a scientific discipline.
• Proven industry experience in protein NMR spectroscopy.
• A working knowledge and practical experience with Bruker NMR spectrometers.
