About Serova
Serova builds personalized cancer vaccines and helps patients find every treatment option available to them, anywhere in the world. Each vaccine is made for the individual patient from their own samples and given in partnership with their treating physician. We run the whole process for patients and their oncologists, from initial review through treatment and follow-up.
The role
Each patient gets one person who manages everything for them, from sign-up and samples to treatment options, trials and follow-up. You’ll be that person: the main point of contact for the patient, their family and their physicians. As we scale, this may become a nursing role.
What you’ll do
Guide your patients through every step: sign-up, consent, records requests, and what to expect at each stage
Find treatment options: newly approved drugs, clinical trials and expanded access, including in Europe and China, and check whether the patient can get them
Work with our physicians to turn what you find into options the patient can act on, and accelerate clinical questions quickly
Coordinate with the patient’s hospital and treating physicians to avoid gaps and duplication
Coordinate sample collection and shipping with physicians, pathology labs and sequencing partners, and track each sample through to results
Keep patients, families and physicians updated on sequencing, manufacturing and treatment dates
Clear obstacles with manufacturers, hospitals, shipping and cost, working with our insurance lead
Arrange practical support such as travel and scheduling
Keep accurate, confidential records of every patient’s status and open actions
