CIC Social Worker
Warwickshire County Council is recruiting experienced Social Workers to join its Children in Care (CIC) Service, working with children and young people to ensure they receive the support, stability and permanence they need to thrive.
The council currently has 2 vacancies within the CIC team and is keen to hear from motivated Social Workers who have experience working within long-term children’s services, safeguarding or looked after children teams.
About the Role
You will work with children in care, carers, families and partner agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, ensuring care plans are progressed effectively and permanency outcomes are achieved.
What We’re Looking For
- Social Work England registration
- Minimum 2 years PQE and completion of ASYE
- Experience within Children’s Services, ideally CIC, Looked After Children, Safeguarding or Long-Term Teams
- Ability to manage statutory responsibilities and complex caseloads
- Strong court work, assessment and care planning skills
Working Arrangements
- Hybrid working available
- Attendance within Warwickshire localities required for visits, meetings and team collaboration at least 2 days per week
- Condensed hours considered, with 37 hours worked across 4 days
Pay Rates
- Up to £38 per hour for highly experienced Social Workers
- Rate exemption available for candidates with 3-4+ years PQE
- Social Workers with a minimum of 2 years PQE and completed ASYE are encouraged to apply, with rates dependent on experience
