A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Restaurant Manager to take ownership of a much-loved local restaurant in Haywards Heath.
This is a relaxed, friendly high-street restaurant built around great food, genuine hospitality and a strong connection with the local community. The focus is on quality, using the finest local producers for meat, vegetables and wine, alongside warm, familiar service that makes guests want to come back time and again.
We are looking for a Restaurant Manager who wants real ownership and autonomy. This is not a role where you will simply be following a set of procedures. You will have the freedom to put your own stamp on the operation, drive standards and make decisions that improve both the guest experience and the performance of the restaurant.
Working closely with the Head Chef and Owner, you will be at the heart of the operation, leading from the front and ensuring the restaurant delivers a consistently first-class experience for both loyal locals and new guests.
The Role
- Take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the restaurant
- Lead from the front, setting high standards across service and hospitality
- Build strong relationships with returning local guests and new customers
- Work closely with the Owner and Head Chef to develop the restaurant and its offering
- Have the autonomy to make decisions and implement ideas
- Lead, motivate and develop the front-of-house team
- Maintain exceptional standards of service, presentation and attention to detail
- Help create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where guests feel genuinely looked after
About You
You will come from a premium restaurant or high-end hospitality background, with a genuine passion for food, wine and exceptional service.
Most importantly, you will be someone who wants to take ownership. You will be confident making decisions, leading a team and taking responsibility for the overall guest experience. You will have a keen eye for detail and understand that great hospitality is about much more than simply delivering good service.
