At Lifeways, we’re excited to be opening a brand-new one-person supported living service in the Winlaton area, and we’re looking for compassionate, positive, and dedicated individuals to join a new support team. This is a unique opportunity to support one person with learning disabilities, autism, and behavioural support needs to live a happy, fulfilling, and independent life in their own home. We’re looking for people who can provide reassurance, encouragement, and consistency while helping create a calm, safe, and enjoyable environment where they can thrive. Get to Know the Person You’ll Be Supporting
- Colouring and creative activities
- Completing jigsaws
- Listening to music and dancing
- Yoga, meditation, and other calming activities
- Going out for drives and exploring the local area
As they do not use public transport, a full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting with daily living tasks, including cooking, cleaning, personal care, and maintaining a comfortable home environment
- Promoting independence and helping the person achieve their personal goals
- Providing positive behavioural support and reassurance when needed
- Encouraging participation in hobbies, activities, and community opportunities
- Building a trusting and meaningful relationship that helps them feel safe, valued, and empowered
