Domestic Gas Engineer Job – Up to £45,000

Active Heating Services is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Domestic Gas Engineer to join our team. If you’re Gas Safe registered, take pride in your work and want to be part of a friendly, supportive local business, we’d love to hear from you.
About the role:
This is a full-time position carrying out a mix of domestic heating, gas work and plumbing across Newbury, Reading, Basingstoke and the surrounding towns and villages. You’ll work independently, supported by our office team and team of engineers.
Your work will include:
- Boiler installations
- Boiler servicing and breakdowns
- System diagnostics and repairs
- Gas safety inspections
- General domestic heating work
- General domestic plumbing work
- Customer support and job reporting
- Occasional emergency callouts (rota based)
What we are looking for:
We’re seeking someone who is:
- Gas Safe registered
- Experienced in domestic boiler work (servicing, breakdowns and installs)
- Oil experience is a bonus (but not essential!)
- Comfortable working independently
- Good with customers and communication
- Able to diagnose issues with accuracy and confidence
- Full UK driving licence holder
