Refuse Driver (Class 2)

Join the Waste Services team at Boston Borough Council and help deliver an essential frontline service to our communities.

As a Refuse Driver, you will play a key role in keeping Boston clean and supporting environmental services across the borough. This is a hands‑on role working outdoors in all weather conditions, as part of a dedicated team.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Enjoys working outdoors and as part of a team.
• Takes pride in providing a reliable service to residents.
• Has a safety-focused approach to work.
• Is committed to delivering excellent customer service.

Full training will be provided through our induction programme.

Requirements

• Category C LGV driving entitlement.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Previous LGV driving experience.

Previous waste collection experience or a relevant qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, 5:30am start.
• Some Saturday and bank holiday working required.
• Flexibility is needed to support service delivery.
