We are looking for a Production Operative to join our manufacturing team, supporting the production of high-quality modular buildings and anti-vandal units.
Working from technical drawings and production specifications, you will be responsible for preparing units ready for spraying, including sealing, preparation and finishing work. You may also be involved in preparing, priming and glossing frames, doors, skirting and other components, alongside general labouring duties.
This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, quality and safety are essential. You will work closely with colleagues across the production team to ensure projects are completed efficiently, accurately and to the required customer and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare modular and anti-vandal units for spraying in accordance with technical drawings and production specifications.
- Complete sealing work to a consistently high standard using the appropriate materials and techniques.
- Prepare, prime and gloss frames, doors, skirting and other components as required.
- Interpret and work accurately from technical drawings.
- Take measurements and carry out accurate calculations.
- Identify and resolve snagging issues and provide practical solutions.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maximise productivity, efficiency and consistency.
- Check finished products against company specifications and raise any quality concerns with the relevant management.
- Identify and report production, engineering, transport, environmental, quality or health and safety issues.
- Complete all required documentation and production records accurately.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, work instructions and standards.
- Wear the required PPE and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Take responsibility for your own health and safety and that of colleagues working in your area.
- Support continuous improvement and share best practice with the wider production team.
- Complete relevant training and development as required.
- Maintain an awareness of quality, environmental and health & safety management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
About You
We are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
You will ideally have:
- Experience in a manufacturing, construction, modular building or similar production environment.
- The ability to understand and interpret technical drawings.
- Experience of sealing units or similar preparation work to a high standard.
- An understanding of different materials and their appropriate applications.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to take accurate measurements and perform basic calculations.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.
- A strong awareness of health & safety and safe working practices.
- The flexibility to support different areas of production as required.

You will need to be able to communicate effectively with the Management Team regarding materials, products or processes that could affect quality, safety or legal compliance.
A flexible approach to working hours is required, as the role may involve adapting to production and project requirements.
