Location London, with a mix of remote working and studio days in Ladbroke Grove
Working closely with the Art Director, you’ll help with:
- Bringing sketches and visual ideas into clean, accurate digital files
- Adapting designs across different leather goods, sizes and surfaces
- Creating templates and artwork that account for the physical shape of each piece
- Preparing and exporting production-ready files
- Making thoughtful adjustments so designs work visually and practically on leather
- Refining designs in collaboration with the Art Director
- Organising artwork, templates and different product variations
Skills and Experience Required
We’re looking for someone with a strong eye for detail and an interest in products and physical objects.
You might come from a background in graphic design, product design, fashion, architecture, industrial design or a related discipline. The most important thing is that you’re comfortable moving between 2D artwork and physical products, with a good understanding of scale, proportion and form.
You should have:
- Strong Adobe Illustrator skills and confidence preparing production-ready artwork
- Excellent attention to detail
- A good understanding of scale, proportion and composition
- An interest in leather goods, fashion, accessories and product design
- The ability to take a rough sketch and turn it into a precise digital design
- An understanding of how artwork needs to change across different materials, textures and product shapes
- Good organisation and file management
- A thoughtful eye for when a design works, and when it needs adjusting
Experience with physical products, patterns, textiles, leather, packaging or other material-based design is a plus.
