Were looking for an organised, hands-on and people-focused Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Eastwood Hall.
Youll play an important role in maintaining the high standards our guests expect, helping to oversee the Housekeeping team and ensuring bedrooms and public areas are clean, safe and beautifully presented. Working closely with Housekeeping, Reception, Maintenance and Duty Management, youll help make sure the venue runs smoothly and our guests have a great experience from arrival to departure.
Housekeeping Supervisor The Role
As Housekeeping Supervisor, youll help lead the Housekeeping team and ensure our standards are consistently maintained across bedrooms, public areas and wider venue spaces.
- Supervise the Housekeeping team in the absence of the Deputy Head Housekeeper and Head Housekeeper, ensuring all duties are covered and completed to a high standard.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety and presentation across bedrooms and public areas.
- Carry out regular checks to ensure areas meet the required standards.
- Check Housekeeping equipment is in good working order and report any maintenance issues across the venue.
- Ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained within the department.
- Work closely with Reception, Porters and Duty Management to support the smooth running of the venue.
- Communicate effectively with other departments regarding room status, occupancy, guest requirements and any issues affecting room availability.
- Use the relevant computer systems to update room status and access information including occupancy and guest details.
- Follow the Quality Standards, Standards Manual and departmental procedures at all times.
- Ensure information is recorded accurately and handled with appropriate confidentiality.
- Support the induction and training of new Housekeeping team members.
- Take an active role in ongoing training and development within the department.
- Ensure all relevant legislation and procedures are followed, including Health & Safety, COSHH, Fire Precautions and Environmental Health requirements.
- Deliver high standards of customer care to both internal and external guests, understanding the factors that contribute to a positive guest experience.
- Ensure all Housekeeping equipment is used correctly, properly maintained, stored safely and kept clean.
- Support other areas of the venue when reasonably required, working as part of the wider team to meet the needs of the business.
- Help reduce unnecessary energy and water usage across the venue and support Eastwood Hall’s commitment to responsible operations.

Were looking for someone who takes real pride in their work, enjoys leading a team and has a great eye for detail.
Youll ideally have:
- Previous experience in Housekeeping, ideally within a hotel, conference centre, hospitality or similar environment.
- Experience supervising or supporting a Housekeeping team is desirable.
- A strong eye for detail and pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with colleagues across different departments.
- A friendly, professional and guest-focused approach.
- The ability to work independently and use your initiative when required.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH and general housekeeping procedures.
- A positive and supportive approach to training and developing colleagues.
- The ability to remain calm and organised during busy periods.
- A flexible approach and willingness to support the wider venue team when required.
- Good IT skills and the ability to use computer systems to manage room status and departmental information.
