We’re currently recruiting a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team at the Dalby Forest Visitor Centre Caf on a permanent casual basis, contracted to 0 hours per week. Located in the heart of The Great Yorkshire Forest, our caf provides high-quality, locally sourced dining options, including catering packages for corporate events, team away days and public activity days.
The successful Catering Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with basic food preparation, customer service and generally supporting the operations while adhering to all Health and Food Safety requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Basic food preparation, counter set up and serving of food and beverages
- Handling cash and card transactions accurately
- Operating coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the caf and associated working areas
- Restocking supplies and monitoring inventory levels
- Ensuring the highest level of customer care is delivered to customers
- Working collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Following food hygiene, and Health & Safety guidelines in line with training which is provided
Our ideal team member will:
- Have own transport due to remote location.
