n A leading national law firm is looking to appoint a Senior Associate or Legal Director to join its highly regarded Commercial Litigation team in Leeds.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced disputes lawyer to join a market-leading practice acting for major corporates, insurers, financial institutions, public sector organisations and commercial clients on a broad range of complex and high-value disputes. The role offers exposure to nationally significant work, genuine progression opportunities and the chance to become a key figure within a growing Yorkshire team.

n Your new role

n Working as part of a collaborative and nationally recognised disputes practice, you will manage a varied caseload while supporting strategic client relationships and business development initiatives.

n

Your work is likely to include:

n

    n

  • Complex commercial contract disputes
  • n

  • Shareholder, partnership and director disputes
  • n

  • Professional negligence claims
  • n

  • Business-critical injunctions and emergency relief applications
  • n

  • Financial and regulatory disputes
  • n

  • Contentious insolvency matters
  • n

  • Procurement and public sector disputes
  • n

  • Breach of warranty and commercial transaction disputes
  • n

  • ADR, mediation and settlement negotiations
  • n

  • High Court and multi-track litigation
  • n

n

n You will also play an active role in mentoring junior lawyers, managing client relationships and contributing to the ongoing growth of the Leeds practice.

n

n What you'll need to succeed

n To be considered, you will ideally have:

n

    n

  • 6+ years' PQE gained within a recognised commercial litigation practice
  • n

  • Strong experience handling complex and high-value disputes
  • n

  • Proven ability to manage matters with a high degree of autonomy
  • n

  • Excellent client management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • n

  • Strong advocacy, drafting and negotiation abilities
  • n

  • A commercial mindset with an interest in business development
  • n

  • Previous supervisory or mentoring experience
  • n

n
