Overview
In this role you will support iconic Birmingham projects by leading cost management for the real estate team. You collaborate with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure best value from a qualitative and commercial perspective. You’ll work across feasibility, cost planning, tendering, and post‑contract cost control to drive accurate valuations and final accounts. The opportunity combines heritage conservation insights with modern cost management, in a collaborative, cross‑functional environment.

Responsibilities
- Assisting feasibility studies and procurement reporting
- Estimating and cost planning, presenting the final cost plan
- Tendering and procurement management, including pre-qualification
- Managing post‑contract cost variances and change control
- Carrying out cost checks and valuations on large projects
- Producing monthly post‑contract cost reports for the client
- Inputting into value engineering
- Negotiating and agreeing final accounts
- Interfacing with client and other consultants across project stages
Key requirements
- Proven track record in cost management / quantity surveying across full project lifecycle
- Professionally qualified (RICS or similar)
- Degree or HNC level qualification
