Site Engineer

Overview

In this freelance Site Engineer role, you will oversee earthworks compliance testing on a Leicester project running from September to Christmas, with potential extension. You will coordinate site surveys, monitor zone load testing, and ensure work aligns with project specs and quality standards. You’ll produce accurate survey and testing records and liaise with site management and subcontractors. This position offers hands-on responsibility in a civil engineering environment and contributes to reliable earthworks performance. You will work within a cross-functional team to deliver compliant, well-documented results.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate earthworks compliance testing
• Conduct and manage site surveys as required
• Monitor and record zone load testing operations

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or earthworks projects
• Strong knowledge of earthworks compliance procedures and testing requirements
• Experience carrying out site surveys and monitoring load testing activities
• Proficient in LSS CAD software
• Ability to work independently and manage site engineering duties
• Valid CSCS card and relevant engineering qualifications preferred
