Overview

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Skanska in London, you will drive project commercial delivery for complex civil engineering work within the Infrastructure OU. You’ll manage procurement, contract administration, variations, and cost reporting to protect financial performance. You will assess entitlement on EOTs and subcontracts, support management accounts, and shape tender strategies for competitive win themes. The role integrates with cross-functional teams to deliver design, build and refurbishment excellence. Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement procedures for package scope, quantification, tender method, negotiation and subcontract documentation
  • Monitor and manage contract procedures, payments, variations and entitlements
  • Assess impact of variations on critical path and entitlement for EOT and subcontractors
  • Support commercial lead with information for management accounts and financial management procedures
  • Manage end-life forecasting, cost/value reconciliations, risk and opportunity management for packages
  • Set tender commercial strategies and identify win themes
  • Coordinate with commercial team to oversee subcontract packages and business outcomes

Key requirements

  • Experience on large projects, ideally in rail
  • Degree or equivalent in a commercial-related subject
  • Experience managing commercial teams of 2+
  • High-quality estimating and cost advice
  • Ability to challenge design and scope constructability
  • Strong contractual knowledge (JCT, NEC)
  • MRICS or CICES desirable
