Overview
As Director, you will lead digital healthcare transformation for national and local mandates, blending technology deployment with adoption, workflow redesign and benefits realisation. You’ll shape operating models and pathways, prepare users, and sustain new ways of working post-go-live. You will engage senior healthcare and digital leaders to deliver measurable outcomes. This role sits in the UK Digital Healthcare practice, scaling adoption-led delivery across healthcare clients.
Responsibilities
- Originate and shape major digital healthcare opportunities focused on technology-enabled transformation (EPR, AVT, workflow automation)
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex transformation programmes, ensuring adoption and benefits realisation
- Build and manage relationships with NHS England, provider and local health organisations, and private healthcare partners
- Develop propositions combining technology transformation, adoption, data, AI, cyber, cloud and managed services
- Define case for change, adoption strategy, operating model, governance and benefits framework
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across change, design, delivery, data, cyber, cloud and operations
- Engage technology vendors and alliance partners while maintaining independent advisory position
- Build people capability and recruit/develop specialists in digital health and transformation
- Contribute to practice management, thought leadership, reusable assets and market eminence
- Travel across the UK and internationally to support delivery or alliance development
- Act in line with KPMG’s values and ethical standards
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Significant digital healthcare experience in consulting, technology provider, NHS or allied public sector
- Proven track record selling and delivering complex digital health programmes (EPR, AVT, workflow automation, adoption)
- Deep understanding of UK healthcare landscape and stakeholders
- Experience across full lifecycle of technology-enabled transformation (strategy to benefits realisation)
- Ability to embed technology into workflows, with change impact assessment and adoption measurement
- Experience with senior healthcare stakeholders and governance structures
- Knowledge of Government Digital Service principles, NHS standards, data protection and clinical safety
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams using agile, waterfall or hybrid methods
- Commercial acumen with ability to grow revenue and manage client relationships
