Project Controls Engineer – Water/Utilities

Overview

As a Project Controls Engineer you will support performance reporting and analysis within the Infrastructure team. You will coordinate progress and cost data to keep schedules in Primavera P6 and budgets up to date, and prepare monthly progress reports. You’ll work under the Project Controls Manager to ensure governance and assurance of controls processes. This role offers exposure to cross-disciplinary project delivery and the chance to influence large infrastructure programmes. The position suits a proactive graduate with strong communication and analytical skills who wants to contribute to mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Collate progress data from multi-discipline teams to update project/programme schedule in Primavera P6
• Collate cost data from multi-discipline teams to support budget requests and update cost report
• Prepare monthly reports measuring progress against baseline
• Support the Project Controls Manager in applying governance and assurance of Project Controls processes

Key requirements

• Qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with some project control experience
• Experience in project or programme management environment with responsibility for delivery or controls of projects/programmes/portfolios
• Experience using controls/software such as Primavera (P6), Power BI, Microsoft Office Applications
• Reliable, autonomous and team-capable; strong time management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated understanding of Project Controls concepts
