Machine Operative Required – Northampton
Quest Employment are currently recruiting for a Machine Operative to join a successful and established family-run business in Northampton.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a long-term position, with the potential to become permanent following a successful temporary period.
The role involves operating and monitoring machinery used to produce foil wraps, as well as supporting the wider production and warehouse operation when required.
The Role
As a Machine Operative, your duties will include:
- Operating and monitoring machinery used to produce foil wraps
- Reading picking sheets and production requirements
- Ensuring orders are produced accurately and to the required standard
- Checking finished products for quality and accuracy
- Supporting with picking and preparing orders
- Carrying out general warehouse and production duties
- Keeping machinery and work areas clean and organised
- Completing general cleaning duties across the site
- Following health & safety procedures at all times
- Supporting the wider team with day-to-day operational requirements
Key Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who:
- Is reliable, punctual and committed to their working schedule
- Has a good attitude and is willing to learn
- Can work independently and as part of a small team
- Is comfortable reading picking sheets and following instructions
- Has good attention to detail
- Takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Is flexible and willing to support with general warehouse duties
- Is looking for a genuine long-term opportunity
Previous machine operating or warehouse experience would be beneficial, but is not essential. The right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are key.
FLT experience would also be advantageous but is not essential.
Pay & Benefits
