Overview
In this role you will help commission IMG’s new broadcast HQ and then run a modern, automation-first network supporting 24/7 live sports content. You will bridge traditional networking with NetOps practices to deliver scalable, observable, and secure media and enterprise services. You will work with cross-functional teams during the build and operate the estate, driving improvements in automation and deployment speed. You’ll shape how the live production network supports high-stakes broadcasting and cloud interconnects across DWDM and media fabrics. This is an opportunity to lead modernization in a cutting-edge broadcast environment with global impact.
Responsibilities
- Fabric and media network engineering for leaf-spine designs and ST 2110 environments
- Operate and troubleshoot core routing (BGP/OSPF), EVPN/VXLAN overlays, and VRF services
- Manage media networking, SMPTE 2110, PTP timing, NMOS control, and multicast (PIM-SM, IGMPv3)
- Capacity planning and lifecycle management across 24/7 estate with minimal disruption
- NetOps and automation: maintain NetBox as source of truth; deploy config from code (Python, Ansible, Git)
- Develop observability using streaming telemetry, Grafana, and related tools; support 24/7 operations teams
- Lead modernization efforts to shift to automated NetOps and mentor other engineers
- WAN, cloud, and security: manage DWDM paths, cloud interconnects, firewall estates, and security telemetry
- Build, migration and leadership: support lab validation, migrate live services to new site, provide escalation and mentorship
