Overview

In this role you will oversee machine-lay surfacing works within highway projects in Essex, contributing to a multi-year programme across private and public sectors. You will lead on-site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery in collaboration with the broader site team. Your expertise will guide maintenance and motorway schemes, street works, and civil construction activities. This is an hands-on leadership role with a clear impact on project delivery and standards.

Responsibilities

• supervise machine-lay surfacing works on highway projects
• coordinate activities for highways maintenance, motorway schemes, street works and civil construction
• ensure compliance with safety regulations and site procedures
• supervise on-site teams and liaise with clients and subcontractors
• maintain quality and schedule adherence

Key requirements

• over 5 years’ experience leading machine-lay surfacing works in highways
• experience across highways maintenance, motorway schemes, street works and civil construction
• SSSTS
• NRSWA Supervisor ticket
• full UK driving license
