Compliance and Safety Specialist

Overview

As Compliance and Safety Specialist, you will oversee safety and technical standards for contracted heavy maintenance across Ryanair’s fleet. You will work with MRO partners to uphold high safety standards and drive improvements in processes and documentation. You will review audits, safety reports, and non-conformities to implement robust corrective and preventive actions. This role combines regulatory rigour with cross-functional collaboration to elevate engineering practices and safety culture at Stansted. You will travel overseas as required to engage with suppliers and ensure consistent compliance across the network.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent reviews of technical work standards at contracted MROs
• Identify improvements in supplier processes and Ryanair interface documentation
• Drive adoption of industry best practices across contracted MROs
• Review customer audits and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions
• Analyze safety reports, maintenance errors and near-miss data; identify trends and take action
• Collaborate with stakeholders to uphold Ryanair’s safety standards across the fleet

Key requirements

• Heavy/base maintenance experience with Boeing and/or Airbus
• Detailed knowledge of EASA Part CAMO and Part 145 regulations
• Degree in engineering or EASA/UK Part 66 AML
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to travel within Europe
• Desirable: experience as a senior mechanic or certifying staff in airline MRO(s)
