This role sits at the intersection of people, process and technology. You’ll lead an international team of accounting professionals, drive operational excellence and help shape how services are delivered across a growing business.
Alongside team leadership and quality oversight, you’ll play an important role in identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, improve efficiency and embed best practice across the division. You’ll work closely with colleagues to support the adoption of new digital tools, intelligent workflows and AI-powered solutions, helping ensure the business remains at the forefront of modern service delivery.
Rather than spending your time preparing accounts, your focus will be on reviewing work, developing people, improving processes and helping the business scale effectively through the intelligent use of technology.

What You’ll Be Doing
As our Accounting Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
- Managing, mentoring and developing an international accounting team
- Leading workflow planning, capacity management and service delivery across the division
- Driving continuous improvement through technology, automation and AI-enabled workflows
- Overseeing quality and technical standards across year-end accounts, corporation tax, bookkeeping, management accounts and related compliance services through effective review and quality control processes
- Identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and client outcomes
- Developing team capability through coaching, training and knowledge sharing
- Supporting the adoption of Microsoft Copilot, AI agents and other emerging technologies
- Collaborating with colleagues across the UK and internationally
- Supporting the continued growth and development of the Professional Services division
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career and contribute to a growing, technology-enabled business.
You’ll ideally have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- Extensive experience reviewing statutory accounts and compliance work to a high technical standard
- Previous experience managing, mentoring or developing team members
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
- Strong systems and technology skills
- Experience of accounting software such as CCH, Iris, Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
- A genuine interest in technology, AI and automation
- Practical experience using Microsoft Copilot and other AI tools
- Familiarity with AI agents, workflow automation and emerging technologies
