Quality Data & Systems Supervisor

VANRATH is delighted to be working with a leading Northern Ireland manufacturer to recruit a Quality Data & Systems Supervisor to join their Quality team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to take responsibility for analysing quality data, reviewing system and process effectiveness, and promoting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance performance, compliance and customer satisfaction, all in line with ISO 9001. The business operates a bespoke, made-to-order manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on quality, development and growth.

Salary: £32,000 – £35,000Hours: Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per weekLocation: County Antrim

Reporting to: Quality Manager

About the RoleKey Responsibilities

  • Collect, review and analyse quality performance data from customer complaints and returns, identifying trends, recurring defects, risks and improvement opportunities
  • Produce weekly and monthly quality reports, dashboards and KPI updates, ensuring data is accurate, complete and reported on time
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to operational teams on product quality, standards and compliance expectations
  • Champion a ‘getting it right first time’ approach and drive time-efficient ways of working, including the use of AI
  • Lead, mentor and develop the team, allocating work, checking accuracy and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Work with the Quality Assurance Manager to set measurable KPIs and work standards, taking corrective action where appropriate
  • Support the implementation of new or revised quality processes and changes linked to legislation, customer requirements and best practice
  • Assist with internal quality audits and preparation for external audits
  • Travel to other sites as and when required

What You Will NeedEssential

  • At least 3 years’ recent supervisory experience working within a Quality Department in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working within a quality, production, manufacturing, operations or customer-focused environment
  • Good understanding of quality processes and procedures, and the importance of accurate record keeping
  • Quality systems / ISO awareness
  • Good level of computer literacy, with a working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Supervisory or team leadership capability, with the ability to support, guide or supervise others in a professional and constructive manner
  • Strong organisational abilities and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and make sound decisions within role responsibilities

Desirable

  • Relevant and proven experience of handling and resolving customer queries
  • Basic Navision or similar ERP system experience
