Overview

In this role you will lead Lean and continuous improvement across Sulzer’s UK North service network, shaping how we work and embedding a culture of improvement. You’ll drive faster, safer, and more efficient operations while enhancing customer experience and reducing waste. You’ll partner with Service Centres, Field Service, and support functions to deliver measurable business impact and position Sulzer as the service provider of choice.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deploy Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives across the UK & Nordic regions
  • Identify and eliminate waste and non-value-added activities to improve productivity and flow
  • Support Service Centres and Field Service teams to enhance productivity, quality, cost performance and customer satisfaction
  • Reduce turnaround times and improve process flow using data-driven decision making
  • Develop and implement standard work, visual management tools and operational performance metrics
  • Coach, mentor and develop managers and employees in Lean thinking and CI methodologies
  • Build a sustainable CI culture empowering teams to own change
  • Track projects, report progress and demonstrate measurable business impact

Key requirements

  • Proven experience leading Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence or Lean transformation programmes
  • Strong understanding of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement tools
  • Experience delivering measurable improvements in productivity, quality, cost, lead time and customer service
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to influence at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Hands-on approach engaging operational teams and senior leaders
  • Experience in engineering/manufacturing/industrial services/maintenance/aftermarket environments is desirable
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent qualification (Desirable)
