Overview

In this placement, you will support the Data & Information Protection team to uphold data privacy and information protection obligations. You’ll engage across risk monitoring, policy maintenance, training delivery, and incident handling, helping embed Privacy by Design across processes. The role sits within a global standards-driven environment and contributes to a culture of compliance and learning. This is a hands-on opportunity to develop practical expertise while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Risk & Compliance Oversight: monitor data protection risks, keep policies current
• Training & Awareness: support internal communications and training programmes
• Incident & Breach Management: assist in identifying and mitigating incidents
• Privacy by Design: collaborate with departments to embed privacy by design and security measures
• BMW Group Standards Implementation: support rollout and adherence to standards

Key requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Business, Law, IT, Marketing or a related level or above
• Interest in data protection and regulatory frameworks (GDPR, DPA 2018, PECR)
• Excellent communication skills for awareness and training
• Analytical mindset for risk oversight and mitigation
• Ability to collaborate across business units and technical teams
• Proactive attitude toward learning and information security measures
