Responsibilities

  • Lead highway and streetscape design development in urban environments
  • Deliver schemes across active travel, public realm, traffic and transportation projects
  • Produce detailed design packages using AutoCAD
  • Take projects from feasibility to implementation
  • Apply design standards including DMRB, TfL streetscape guidance, LTN 1/20, LCDS, TSRGD
  • Manage Statutory Undertaker plant diversion processes from searches to implementation
  • Prepare technical reports and client/stakeholder documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, sub-consultants and stakeholders
  • Support project delivery in fast-paced London environments
  • Contribute to project planning, coordination and overall scheme delivery

Key requirements

  • A relevant degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)
  • At least 3 years of industry experience within highways/transport infrastructure design
  • Experience developing highway designs in line with DMRB, TfL streetscape guidance, LTN 1/20
  • Strong AutoCAD skills for high-quality drawings and design packages
  • Experience managing Statutory Undertaker diversion processes
  • Solid understanding of CDM 2015 requirements for Designers/Principal Designers
  • Strong communication skills with clients, colleagues, contractors and stakeholders
