Safety Health and Environmental Advisor

Overview

In this role you will provide competent SHE support across the business to ensure statutory and ISO-compliant performance. You will help develop and sustain an effective SHE culture aligned with the company’s Vision, Mission and Values, working with operations, engineering and projects. You will lead and support investigations, audits and continuous improvement efforts to reduce risk and promote safe, compliant delivery of work. This is an opportunity to shape safety practices and contribute to the organisation’s Business Plan and nuclear safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent SHE advice to ensure statutory and ISO management system compliance
• Support implementation and effectiveness of the SHE management system
• Participate in audits and close out findings
• Identify hazards and support risk assessment and control; advise on ALARP
• Lead or support incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are tracked
• Provide practical SHE support across manufacturing, projects and site activities
• Deliver inductions and oversee contractor activities for compliance
• Carry out SHE inspections and promote 5S housekeeping principles
• Promote a proactive SHE and Nuclear Safety culture across the business
• Contribute to policy/procedure development and continuous improvement of SHE processes
• Maintain records, reports and KPI tracking; support external submissions (e.g., ROSPA)
