Area Relief Officer

Overview

In this role you will provide a visible security presence across multiple Oxford and Swindon area sites, supporting a regional security operation. You’ll travel between locations to cover stores as needed and support store teams, ensuring safety and deterring crime. The position offers variety and flexibility, ideal for an experienced officer who thrives across different sites and works well within a wider regional team. You’ll contribute to incident handling, reporting, and maintaining high customer service standards while being essential to the area’s security operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, professional security presence
• Cover multiple retail locations across the area
• Travel between locations as required
• Prevent and deter theft and criminal activity
• Respond professionally to incidents
• Support store management and colleagues
• Complete accurate incident reports and documentation
• Maintain excellent customer service standards
• Adapt quickly to different sites and teams
• Provide reliable relief and operational support across the area

Key requirements

• SIA licensed
• Reliable, professional and punctual
• Able to work independently
• Flexible and adaptable
• Comfortable traveling across Oxford and Swindon area
• Own vehicle essential
• Applicants without access to own vehicle will not be considered
