Overview

As a Non-Executive Director, you will provide independent oversight to a global financial services group and contribute to strategic governance. You will participate in board and committee discussions, shaping financial performance, risk, and strategy while upholding governance standards. You will support management in evaluating growth opportunities and digital initiatives, and monitor internal controls and regulatory compliance. You will champion accountability, transparency, and long-term sustainability as the company scales internationally. This is a high-impact role for an experienced leader who drives constructive challenge and strategic direction.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in board and committee meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making
  • Oversee financial performance, business strategy, governance, compliance, and risk management
  • Support management in evaluating growth opportunities, operational improvements, and digital initiatives
  • Monitor internal controls, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance
  • Promote accountability, ethical conduct, and transparency across the organization
  • Contribute to the long-term sustainability and strategic development of the company

Key requirements

  • Significant senior leadership experience within banking, financial services, consumer finance, lending, or related sectors
  • Exposure to fintech environments is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of the Egyptian financial services market, including regulatory and commercial landscape
  • Solid knowledge of corporate governance principles and the role of a Non-Executive Director
  • Previous board experience or governance responsibilities at a senior executive level is beneficial
