Overview

As an Assistant Manager in EY’s FAAS Finance Optimisation, you help CFOs and finance teams solve complex accounting and reporting challenges using innovative solutions. You will lead end-to-end project delivery, shape strategic and operational decisions, and nurture a high-performing, inclusive team. You’ll work with cross-functional clients to apply data, policies, and technology to drive value. Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project delivery (physical and virtual) and assess risks and opportunities
• Develop high-quality reports and presentations capturing problem statements, solutions, and recommendations
• Oversee internal financial, quality and risk management on client projects
• Foster team development and inclusive behaviours while raising functional and technical skills
• Lead business development for new and existing clients and deliver strong proposals
• Build internal and external networks to collaborate for EY clients
• Create an environment that encourages innovation based on client, market, and EY context

Key requirements

• An accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent
• Financial Reporting and/or Assurance/audit background
• Extensive experience in assurance, consulting or transformational roles within Big 4, consulting firms, or industry
• Experience in R2R, Financial Close, Consolidation and Reporting; Finance Transformation & Change programmes
• Process, Risks and Controls design and testing over financial/operational/reporting processes (COSO, SOx)
• Data analytics with technology to automate data extraction, prep, and presentation (data warehousing, ETL, visualization)
• Finance systems design/implementation (ERP SAP/Oracle, EPM SAC/CCH Tagetik, BlackLine)
• Experience with ESG/non-financial reporting and regulatory frameworks
• Internal finance function experience in Financial Reporting
